There are two leading contenders in this year's Apra Silver Scroll Award top 20 list, with both Unknown Mortal Orchestra and SJD sneaking in two songs each.
In competition for the prestigious Song Of The Year trophy, they're joined by an impressive line-up of local talent, ranging from Christchurch country prince Marlon Williams to hazy indie-pop act She's So Rad; from Dunedin boys Six60 to Pasifika icon King Kapisi.
Brother-sister duo Broods are back in for a second year running with L.A.F., having made the final five with Bridges last year, and Lorde also returns with Yellow Flicker Beat, the song she wrote for the Hunger Games soundtrack.
The award ceremony will be held in Auckland on Thursday, September 17 at Vector Arena.
