Newsworthy has celebrated its first week on air - but not everyone is a fan.
The new TV3 late night news show, fronted by Samantha Hayes and David Farrier, screens on weeknights and used its first week to set a tone for airing quirky and weird stories.
On Monday, Farrier interviewed Conservative Party leader Colin Craig in a sauna.
The Newsworthy team celebrated on Friday night by reviewing its own week, sending a reporter to TVNZ to query the channel's presenters on what they thought of the show.
Wendy Petrie didn't miss a beat as she was approached by reporter Jenny Suo, joking: "Are you looking for a job?"
Petrie, the host of TVNZ's One News prime time bulletins, then told Suo she "hadn't actually seen the show".
"But I will watch it, definitely. We love new shows, we love watching new shows, it's good for everybody," she said.
Ratings have been mixed for Newsworthy. It started its first week with 74,000, but ended on Friday with 103,670, reported Throng.co.nz.
