The first look at The Hobbit: The Battle of Five Armies has been revealed.
A two-minute trailer for the final film in Peter Jackson's trilogy was posted onto The Hobbit's Facebook this morning.
The trailer, which debuted at Comic Con in San Diego over the weekend, showed the dragon Smaug setting Lake-town ablaze, Cate Blanchett's royal elf Galadriel kissing the forehead of Ian McKellen's beleaguered wizard Gandalf and legions of elves and orcs racing into battle.
It received more than 10,000 'likes' in a matter of minutes of going live, with many fans praising the use of Pippin's Song as the trailer's soundtrack.
Another fan said: "I'm going to cry, I wanna see this so bad!!!!"
