Game of Thrones author George RR Martin is a cruel man - he's now placed two of the favourite characters' heads on the chopping block for next week's highly anticipated TV finale.
Surely he wouldn't be so soulless to kill off both Jon Snow and Tyrion Lannister? Or would he? Does the fact that they are both on death watch mean one of them will definitely go?
Last week fans were incensed when Tyrion Lannister was sentenced to death in episode The Mountain and The Viper. Tyrion played by Peter Dinklage is a firm fan favourite.
Following the death of Prince Oberyn fans took to social media saying they would quit watching the show if Tyrion dies.
"If Tyrion dies we riot," wrote Conr Glynn and hundreds of other fans on Twitter.
While Monday night's episode The Watchers on the Wall was regarded as "epic" it also left fans with the reality that they may lose another favourite character in Jon Snow.
At the end of the first day of the siege on the wall Jon Snow walks out the gate into wildling territory to confront Mance and kill him, thinking that without their leader the united free folk will turn on each other.
He leaves behind his family sword - just in case he dies.
The double whammy set up for the finale has not been lost on viewers.
"If Jon or Tyrion die on Sunday I'm never watching Game of Thrones again," Ben Farrelly wrote on Twitter."
