Freemason and Diatribe head the market for tomorrow's Melbourne Cup.
While the weather will play a major role in who starts favourite, Freemason grabbed favouritism with his late charge for fourth in the Mackinnon Stakes on Saturday.
The Queensland Derby winner also drew perfectly at barrier two.
Diatribe has maintained his
position close to the head of the betting since his Caulfield Cup win with a fine second to Sunline in last week's Cox Plate.
The big movers in Melbourne yesterday were the European raiders, with support for Far Cry and Enzeli.
Bookmakers are taking a cautious approach with New Zealand stayer Kaapstad Way, who was favourite when it was dry last week
