Police are investigating an armed robbery of a security van in Royal Oak on Tuesday.
Detective Sergeant Tony Mckenzie said the robbery happened near the main entrance of The Warehouse at Royal Oak around 1.50pm on May 9.
A white car with three people inside - one apparently holding a gun - approached the two van guards.
The guards did as they were told and handed over a bag. The offenders then drove off towards Pah Rd.
Police are making inquiries and are speaking with witnesses.
They want to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and has any information about the incident.
Some people may have dashcam footage or recordings of the robbery on their phones, police said.
Information can be reported to Auckland Central Police Station on 09 302 6400, or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
