Hockey: Squad flies to India

The Black Sticks will fly out of Perth today as originally planned despite warnings from terrorist group al Qaeda that athletes travelling to India are a legitimate target.

Hockey New Zealand said last week the squad would remain in Perth after their two test series against Australia ended on Friday but coach Shane McLeod said yesterday they would depart as scheduled and take their place in pool A when the World Cup starts on Sunday.
