What's happening in the world of business, finance and economics today? We have the latest business, markets, currency and personal finance news, opinion and financial market reports.

1. Fieldays
Day three of the four-day biggest annual event on the farming calendar is on at Mystery Creek, Hamilton. It finishes tomorrow.

2. Property
The Property Council awards, sponsored by Rider Levett Bucknall, will be announced tonight at the Vector Arena. This is the first time the event has been held in this venue. In the last few years, it was in the Viaduct Events Centre, but numbers have increased, along with the property boom.

3. Survey
The ANZ Consumer Confidence Survey will be issued today.

4. Councils
At 10.45am, Statistics NZ will release government finance statistics for local government for the year to June, 2015.

5. Newmarket
The Newmarket Business Awards will be held tonight at the Auckland War Memorial Museum.

6. Court
NZX v Ralec continues in Wellington. The operator of the New Zealand Stock Exchange is in court with Ralec, the developers of Clear, a Melbourne-based grain trading business. The judge-alone trial is expected to last up to nine weeks.
