The Central Districts U17 cricket team will head south to the National U17 Tournament will serious Whanganui fire power.
Named in the team is visiting Canadian age group international Akash Gill and Wanganui Collegiate pace bowler Connor O'Leary.
O'Leary took some key wickets down at Lincoln University for CD lastsummer as they finished second equal in the tournament. H ealso appears over his knee niggles and heads south with a clean bill of health.
For Gill it will be his first time to Burt Sutcliffe Oval, but his all round talent will be a welcome tool for Central.
He was one player stood above the rest in the opening round of the Coastal Cup Challenge (50 over) last Saturday. Gill hit 152 for St John's Tech in a big win over Marist on the Tasman Tanning no1 pitch at Victoria Park. Gill is also handy with ball in hand.
