The Wanganui Indoor Bowls representative team tasted success at the NWWTH Trophy tournament at home last weekend.
They won the four-team event ahead of North Wellington, with Taranaki third and Horowhenua fourth.
In a very competitive event, Wanganui had beaten North Wellington and Horowhenua, but lost to Taranaki, who inturn lost their two other matchups.
The Wanganui team was: W Freeman, L Heywood, B McCarthy, R Freeman, C Pinker, M Klitscher, J Sackfield, K Lawrie, M Sackfield, L Bourne, D Hurley, C Bourne, B Kenny, S Hackett, B Gosnell and A Kendrick.
