The Wanganui Under-16s wrapped up their 2014 season at the Hurricanes' regional tournament in Napier this week.
A squad of 24 was taken to Tremain Field and included only two returnees from the 2013 Wanganui Under-16s.
They were beaten 35-22 first up against Poverty Bay on Monday afternoon, then rebounded
to hammer East Coast 38-5 the next day.
After Wednesday's rest day, Wanganui finished their tournament with a 45-28 loss to Wairarapa Bush on Thursday morning.
Winger Harry Unsworth showed good form and was named in the tournament team.
