A new TAB bet type, the Triple Trio, has been introduced to Friday evening greyhound meetings.

The Triple Trio, which is also available on Thursday evening and Sunday afternoon meetings has a guaranteed $10,000 pool attached to each one.

Triple Trio races will always be held on Races 6-8.

The standard two TAB Quaddies will still be conducted on Races 2-5 and 9-12 inclusive.

The Triple Trio involves selecting the first three greyhounds to finish in each of the nominated three races.

Percentage betting is commonly used for this bet type.

Race 6 is the first leg this evening and it includes Lochinvar Rossi, who charged home late to miss the win a length last Friday.

A similar effort in the second leg is likely to see him filling a placing, therefore use him as a banker here.

The support contenders to pay a dividend with him in this leg is the consistent Pseudonym, along Girl Pride, who gains a much improved draw, last Friday's winner Phone Tap and Magic Arrow.

Onto the second leg where the stand out place contender appears to be Monday's Manawatu 375m winner Blue And Curly, who now gains a bonus race in the same grade that he defeated then.

The others to work with him includes the trio of downgraded former open class sprinters Belkara, Almost Got It and Need To Chill.

This is a fairly open affair in terms of potential place-getters as Opawa Lean Meat delivered a much improved 375m sprint on Monday, while Kazillion has been sniffing around the minor stakes for a while now.

There appears to be no standout banker option in the third and final leg.

Therefore box up the following sprinters - Waterbug is a recent downgraded open class sprinter and Stiff Drink has secured the draw advantage in this dash.

Rebel City was luckless last Friday, Hannibal Lecter has swooping claims here, while Kazin is capable to sneak in.
