The exciting greyhound young Thrilling Raider is poised to continue on his winning ways in this evening's $8,000, 520m feature.

The Karen Walsh and Tirau-trained chaser is seeking his 14th race win in just his 15th career outing when he takes on a field of intermediate graded rivals in the NZRS Graduation final (Race 8).

Very astute race placement by Walsh has seen this smart youngster win six penalty free races, explaining why he still is only assessed as C3 graded greyhound.

Thrilling Raider is making his Hatrick track debut in this event, however his mentor has trialled him around this circuit.

Only shocking racing luck can deny him another victory this evening.

His litter brother Thrilling Surge provides Walsh with a sound back-up contender here.

He gamely chased home his brother in the recent Cambridge-hosted version of this $8,000 race.

Thrilling Surge won a Hatrick maiden 520m event in 30.48s and he is a much improved greyhound now.

He is required to jump from the tricky five trap here.

Lisa Ahern provides drawn four runners, plus also both reserves.

Bigtime Welldone scampered around 520m here in a very swift 29.88s two races ago.

Going close to that time can see him giving Thrilling Raider something to think about.

Bigtime Bakagain has also delivered a tidy 30.09s best winning 520m time, while Bigtime Sweetie and Bigtime Lady are proven 520m chasers at this venue.

Waitotara trainer Brian Marsh will be looking to his greyhound Bernie's Boy to quickly push forward onto the early pace after jumping from the ace-trap.

He must do so if he's going to be in contention for a stakes payout at the business end.

Allegro Gun sizzled through his 305m sprint last Friday for Ahern when he clocked a slippery 17.17s.

The Hatrick 305m track record holder (17.07s) holds repeat claims in Race 10 , the Wanganui Chronicle 305m dash.

Kennelmate Bear Inda Square returns here after his Manukau miss last Sunday. His prior 305m form commands respect.

As usual Sedgebrook Babe is expected to deliver yet another competitive sprint for Freddy Kite, while the Kelly Gommans trained Stole Me Wallet has drawn ideally in the one trap.
