The first two races for this evening's late Hatrick Quaddie kicks off with a couple of C1-2 520m events.

First leg (Race 9) sees local trainer Kelly Gommans holding the key to it with the proven chaser Thrilling Cassie.

This Group 1 finalist from last season is talented enough to overcome the tricky five trap draw she has been allocated.

Kirkham Jasper was brave when he went under by the slimmest margin over 520m last Friday.

This Matt Roberts-trained greyhound holds obvious claims owing to that.

Adding intrigue to this field is the track debut of the former Canterbury-prepared chaser Captain Tuttle for Jake and Daze Bell.

To be blunt, this guy hasn't lived up to his reputation since crossing the Tasman.

Claims can be made for the Lisa Ahern-trained Allegro Power, plus also Meg's Me Mum from the Steve Maher kennels.

The key to the second leg is held by a couple of proven but out-of-form C2 greyhounds.

Lady Zeena draws the one-trap for Terry Downy and a quick start by her can see this recently downgraded chaser featuring at the business end.

Zipping Jock is an enigma as he owns heaps of ability but hasn't been delivering on that.

He owns a slick best 29.97s winning 520m time around this circuit.

The Bells have recently taken over the training duties for him. The balance of the field are graded at C1.

Look for the third leg action to come from the insider and outside traps.

Sedgebrook Magic was a stylish winner from the ace-trap, two races ago, and he draws that here for Freddy Kite.

Ahern has the in-form Smash Allegro stepping from trap-two, plus she has the last start Manukau 318m winner Cranky Pants jumping from trap-eight.

Both sprinters can make their presence felt in this 305m sprint, as can another runner from the kennel Americano.

It's appears to be all about Ahern in the final leg. She has three sprinters lining up in it.

Effective Power is escaping from the C5 ranks and she draws ideally in trap-one.

Allegro Gun has shot through the grades, producing smart times in doing so, while Allegro Boom keeps on delivering competitive sprints.
