Wanganui Collegiate Year 10 student Hayden Smith leads two classes after two rounds of the Wanganui Motocross Championships. Smith is not only leading the points in the junior 125cc class, but also the senior A grade under 250cc.

The teenager, who finished fifth at the NZ Juniors Championshipsis only riding two classes at Wanganui. Smith claimed the Mighty Manawatu Junior U17 125cc title in Himatangi on Sunday.

Results after 2 rounds are:

8-12 85cc

1st Rhys Jillings, 2nd Wade Bengston, 3rd Josh Varney.

13-16 85cc

1st Toby Winiata, 2nd James Rountree, 3rd Campbell Tylee.

A grade over 250cc

A grade under 250cc

1st Hayden Smith, 2nd Ethan Brewer, 3rd Bradley Cole.

B grade

1st Sam Cleland, 2nd Taylar Rampton, 3rd Leslie Longstaff.

Junior 125cc

1st Hayden Smith, 2nd Kieron Baker, 3rd Max Heffern.

Junior 250cc

1st Jaequan Goodrick, 2nd Kane Dittmar, 3rd Joe Wainhouse.

Vets 35-44 years
