Velo Ronny's Bicycle Store is inviting women who are interested in getting into cycling or wanting to expand their knowledge to come to a free night out at their offices next Wednesday.
The evening will include booths for guests to find out about all the facets of cycling - likemaintaining a bike, choosing the right seat, best clothing, nutrition, and cycle paths and trails in Wanganui.
"The aim is to attract and encourage more woman into cycling activity at recreation level and above," said owner Ron Cheatley. "There are many out there who just need guidance on basic skills, etc, to gain more confidence."
The Wanganui Cycling Club will also introduce the launch of "group fun and fitness" rides, while Sport Whanganui will introduce track and velodrome riding. There will be free refreshments of wine, orange juice, cheese and crackers.
The evening starts at 6.30pm on Wednesday, October 28.
