Taihape's Hayden Smith will resume his 125cc class rivalry with Karaka's Kurtis Lilly when the third round of four in the New Zealand Motocross Championships is held in Himatangi on Sunday.
Both riders are tied on 141 points, which is 41 points clear of third placed Hayden Wilkinson from Nelson.
They have traded first and second finishes across the three races at each of the previous two rounds.
Smith will be very familiar with competing at the Flipp's Motocross Park circuit.
