The Wanganui Indoor Bowls members had a strong June with national titles and good representative performances.

On June 21, Warren Freeman skipped Les Heywood to win the NZ Chartered Club Men's Pairs, representing the St John's Club.

Four days later in Levin, Freeman was joined by Lindsay Bourne, Roz Freeman and Craig Bourne to win the RSA National Indoor Bowls Tournament in Levin in a championship, with Warren Freeman and Lindsay Bourne regaining the crown from 2014.

Wanganui was also runnersup with Allan Cowley, former RSA champion Warwick
Pinker, Sue Cowley and Arlene Pinker making it through to a very close final.

Cary Pinker and Brian McCarthy also skipped teams at the two day tournament which included 34 teams from as far north as Kerikeri and far south as Wellington.

Back home for the MU Cup Final on June 28, the Eastown team of skip Les Heywood, Maria Klitcher, Colin Watson, and Karen Lawrie were victorious 8-2 over the RSA team of Warrick Pinker, Lorna Sorensen, Neville Crawford, and Lynne Zimmerman.
