The Wanganui Chronicle has three family packs consisting of four tickets to give away for the Devon Hotel Central Stags game with the Auckland Aces at Palmerston North's Fitzherbert Park next Thursday.

Tickets normally cost $15 each so for a local cricket tragic to get their hands on four of them would certainly be worth the while.

It will be the last chance to watch former Black Caps batsman Jamie How play, as the veteran is retiring at the end of this Ford Trophy season to focus on his new job in the Toyota marketing department.

The 33-year-old How has been in some brilliant form - smashing 177 for the Stags against Canterbury in New Plymouth on December 27.

It will also be a good chance to watch Wanganui product Ben Smith in action at the top of the order.

Smith has scores of 31 and 20 in his last two digs at bat against the Northern Knights on December 30 and against Canterbury yesterday.

There is something in it too for the supporters, as Central Districts Cricket is running the #StagsNation "Selfie of the Season" competition.

Simply attend the game with your cellphone and take a "selfie" picture of yourself, or including mates and family, showing "green pride".
