The season for all grades of Wanganui netball has been extended by a week after last weekend's games were washed out.
Netball Wanganui game development officer Donna Jeffrey said all Saturday outdoor games at Laird Park were cancelled after heavy rain washed out play, while Monday night's premier matches were
canned because of travel difficulties for players and officials.
"There was nothing we could do other than cancel all games in all grades," Jeffrey said.
"The premier competition will continue from next Monday with the finals now on August 10. Club competition will now end on August 22, while secondary and primary division competition will now finish on August 29.
"Everyone is in the same boat so there is no need to replay any games," she said.
