It was all to the tee for a good cause yesterday as the Wanganui Blue Light golf tournament was held at the Castlecliff Golf Course.
The annual tournament is the major fundraiser for the local Blue Light committee, which works closely with the police to run programmes and activities foryoung people throughout New Zealand, which all promote being free from drugs, alcohol and violence.
Blue Light Wanganui support the community to attend Blue Light leadership camps, PCT nationals, as well as other community initiates.
Spokeswoman Pauline O'Leary said the Castlecliff course was in great condition for the 10am shotgun start.
This year there are 17 teams taking part, but obviously not as many as originally planned due to officers currently being busy on work duties " specifically the homicide investigation into the death of Craig Rippon.
