The new TAB bet type on greyhounds - the Triple Trio - paid the pool, which was a $10,000 dividend last Friday.

There is another guaranteed $10,000 pool on offer during this evening's meeting, which again will be held on Race 6-8 inclusive.

The Triple Trio involves selecting the first three greyhounds to finish in each of those nominated three races.

Percentage betting is commonly used for this bet type.

Race 6 is the first leg this evening and it includes Kazillion, who through a quirk in the greyhound downgrading system, is benefiting from a bonus sprint in a lower grade than the grade that she won in at the Manawatu Raceway on Monday.

Kazillion had actually dropped back to C3 when she missed a placing at Hatrick last Friday.

She held a C4 nomination on Monday, which she was required to run out.

Winning that sprint saw her being automatically regraded to C4, however in the interim she was correctly nominated for a C3 sprint tonight, which she gets to race in. Others to include with her here are Eruza, along with Miss Softy, Azzure Dreams and Just You Wait.

Onto the second leg, where a similar bonus race scenario applies to three sprinters here.

Three heats were held last Friday for a C4 feature 305m sprint, with those three heat winners being upgraded to the C5 ranks.

Those three winners, Waterbug, Homebush Crash and Blue And Curly should all be included in the Triple Trio combinations here as they now get to run out their C4 nominations.

Also include Stiff Drink and Bigtime Chip in those combos.

Again, the third and final leg appears to be wide open. Gaining the draw advantage for it is Aldonza after being allocated the one trap to leap from.

Sweet Lies has also drawn to be competitive here and Bad Week is also advantaged by drawing closer to the rail this week.

On the other hand Armed Forces is provided with swooping claims from his wide trap, while Cawbourne Porshe owns the ability to make his presence felt here.
