Wanganui Collegiate's talented first five Stephen Perofeta has been named in the Hurricanes Under-18 team to play their Crusaders U-18 counterparts in Blenheim this afternoon
Perofeta was chosen for the 23-man squad, coached by Hurricanes Development officer Darren Larsen, after last week's training camp in Feilding.
The team also hasthree Manawatu players who are former local pupils: Jona Nareki (City College), Vilimoni Korori (Wanganui High School) and Mangamahu's Thomas Stewart.
The team, put together to develop youth in the Hurricanes region, contains representatives from five of the eight unions. The players come from Wellington (nine), Hawkes Bay (five), Manawatu (five), Poverty Bay (three) and Wanganui (one).
