It was a busy sports weekend over at the Springvale and Jubilee stadiums with some fast and some furious action.
On Saturday, the West Coast Bombers roller derby club held an inter-league match-up, splitting themselves into mixed teams called the White Walkers and Castle Black. The White Walkers took anearly lead only for Castle Black to pull them back in the second half, taking the win 196-174 at Jubilee Stadium.
Then yesterday at Springvale, about 99 Taekwondo practitioners took part in the 2016 Central Districts championships. The club with the best overall points tally from their representatives would win the Salton Shield.
