Turakina farmer Jan Dixon was not able to retain her masters title at the World Natural Bodybuilding Olympia pro/am in Las Vegas last weekend.
Dixon, who has just returned home from Las Vegas, came second of the three competitors in the masters grade, meaning she also did not go on
to the Women's Open to see if she could match or better her third placing from 2015.
The 50-year-old said she was beaten by the Slovakian bodybuilder, who had also won the Women's Open at the INBA World Natural Body Building Championships in Dubai last year, with Dixon second after winning the Over 40's grade.
"You just don't know what the judges are looking for - she was smaller but a lot more cut," Dixon said.
The Kiwi had the bigger muscles, but the central European competitor had a good tone to her physique to catch the eye.
