It was like four seasons of footy for the 24 teams who took part in the Touch Rugby competition over the weekend.

Intense heat on Saturday lead to a few bodies breaking down, while yesterday's steady rain turned the Springvale Park fields into a greasy minefield where keeping one's footing was as important as a good sidestep.

Each team played four or five games across the seven grades, with some cross-grade matches to give all teams an equal number of match-ups.

Despite being a little tired after their men won the 30 year Mixed Grade, Wanganui team Rel8dnsumway won the Over 30's men's final 7-2 against GOK.

Hamilton's Suburbs Masters won the Over 45 final 3-0 against United Cleaning in a men's grade where Australian women's team Cairns Crocs also took part.

Wanganui's 292 Crew won the Over 40 men's final against Dodgers 10-3, while fellow locals No Limits won the Over 30 Women/Mixed grade final with United Cleaning 6-4.

The Crew won the Over 35 men's playoff with Tama Tu 5-3, and Castle Touch beat Quicksilver 5-2 in the Over 50 men's final.
