IT IS A low-key meeting at Hatrick this evening following a one-off change to the normal racing pattern during the week.

Also a fair number of Friday regulars trekked south to contest last night's $100,000 Christchurch Casino New Zealand Cup heats, plus this afternoon's heats for the $30,000 Super Pets Galaxy heats at Addington Raceway.

The late TAB Quaddie (races 9-12) presents an intriguing challenge. Here's a look at some of the main contenders for each leg.

In Leg 1 at 8.13pm, the form line that Legerdemain brings into this 305m dash isn't inspiring.

However, securing a draw closer to the rail, plus a significant easing in class for her suggests she is likely to quickly improve her form here.

The nicely drawn Another Miss (trap-1) is likely to present the main opposition to her. She owns early pace which has enhanced her claims here.

Others to consider in this sprint are Jinja Coll, Cawbourne George and Homebush Olive.

Leg 2 has an interesting field of intermediate graded 520m chasers and is an open looking event.

Recent Hatrick 520m winners Bedlam Bridge and Big Wonder are expected to be competitive again.

The claims of Segeyaro and Another Habit cannot be lightly dismissed, while expect the stayer Extreme Twist to be sighted rushing home late.

Leg 3 sees the dual Friday and Monday 305m winner Allegro Chaser attempting to make it a hat-trick of sprint wins.

She can overcome her poor draw here to achieve that.

The inside drawn pair of Cranky Pants and Sedgebrook Magic look likely to provide the stiffest opposition to her, although keep the reserve Why Oh Why safe if she gains a race start here from off the bench.

The final leg sees the likely warm favourite Happy Wife gaining the draw advantage in the one-trap. She can lead throughout from there.

Kennel-mates Serena Miss would have benefited from her bold fresh-up second last week, while Blue And Curly is hinting another win isn't far away for him.

Chasing action will feature at Hatrick on Melbourne Cup day, with a12-race card getting underway at 5.50pm.
