Shocking green

Regarding the recent painting job in the Bason Reserve.
What a terrible, shocking green. It is not the green of nature. I hope they change it.

Yellow House

As a local community group, we were not surprised to see the The Yellow House high on the list for the best New Zealand Cafe of the Year (Chronicle, October 19).

Our group, the Compassionate Friends, gives grief support to other parents who have had a child die. We hold our monthly support meetings in The Yellow House and appreciate the fine fare on offer.

The coffee is excellent too, as is the friendly and accommodating service of the staff.

We meet there on the first Saturday of each month at 11am. Any bereaved parents are welcome to join us.
