Whanganui District Court.

A 39-old-year woman has admitted to intentionally setting fire to a Whanganui home.

Sarah Hine Phillips pleaded guilty to arson when she appeared in the Whanganui District Court via AVL (Audio-Visual Link) on Thursday.

Judge Philip Crayton said on November 7 last year Phillips intentionally damaged by fire the house located at 224 Somme Pde in Aramoho, Whanganui.

Phillips was instructed to appear via AVL because she was currently being treated at a mental health unit.

Judge Crayton convicted Phillips and ordered her to reappear in the Whanganui District Court for sentencing on March 19.
