Whanganui's Dentist on Glasgow to open surgery in Bulls

Dr Vasu Alturi is branching out with a new dental surgery in Bulls.

Bulls is set to get its own dental surgery, with Whanganui's Dentist on Glasgow expanding its practice.

Doctors Vasu and Karuna Atluri have owned the practice for eight years and wanted to offer a service in Bulls.

"It has been on my mind for a very long time but we wanted to find the right place," Vasu Atluri said.

"It didn't seem right to have a surgery beside a supermarket or takeaway shops. We've been looking and looking and now we've found the right place."

Rooms have become available in the Physio @ Bulls premises at 13 Criterion St and Bulls Dental will open there on September 14.

"Our dentists, including myself, will be doing one or two days a week there and we want to employ local people as dental assistants," Atluri said.

"It will be part-time to start with until we see what the demand is. We have a lot of patients who come over from Bulls and Marton so it will be good to be able to offer a service in a small town."
