Whanganui police have released CCTV images and more detailed descriptions of two men sought for the aggravated robbery of the Z service station in Dublin St on September 22.

Detective Constable Neville Mullaney said both men were about 178cm tall.

One offender was wearing:
- Blue nitrile gloves.
- A black scarf
with a white pattern.
- A dark-coloured hooded bush shirt, with a label on the left chest pocket and a small label on the back with the image of someone in a boat fishing.
- A white hooded shirt worn under the bush shirt.
- Dark-coloured track pants.
- Black socks with hole in the left heel.
- Black flip flop sandals.

He was carrying a white dropsheet in his right hand.

The second offender was wearing:
- Blue nitrile gloves.
- A light grey hooded 'onesie' with stripes on the upper sleeve.
- Black material protruding from the hood which was done up tightly to conceal his face.
- Black shoes.
- There is possibly a tattoo on his right wrist.

He was carrying what appears to be the blade of a hedge clipper with a yellow handle.

The offenders were dropped off by a vehicle near the Dublin St roundabout just before 8pm on Friday, September 22. The vehicle then travelled to Niblett St, along Liverpool St and stopped at the corner of Pitt St and Liverpool St.

After taking tobacco and cash from the service station, the offenders ran along Pitt St toward Liverpool St where they were picked up by the vehicle.

Police want to hear from anyone who saw two males fitting the description in the area about 8pm on Friday, September 22, or a vehicle travelling around the Dublin St/Niblett St/Liverpool St block, stopping at the Liverpool St/Pitt St intersection, about that time.
