LITURGY
What: Enlightenment
When: Sunday, October 18, 4-5pm.
Where: Josephite Retreat Centre, 14 Hillside Tce.
No registration necessary.
PARENTING PROGRAMME
What: Boundaries with Kids - This is a free course for parents of children of any age. Eight weekly sessions.
When: Starts Wednesday, October 21. Sessions run from 9.15-11.45am.

WINDOW
STARS FOR CHRISTMAS
What: A practical workshop making prism-like stars for Christmas decorations. With Carlotta Penton.
When: Saturday, November 7, 9.30am-12.30pm.
Where: Josephite Retreat Centre, 14 Hillside Tce.
Cost: $10.

ADVENT REFLECTION DAY
When: Saturday, November 28, 10am-3pm. With Maureen Calman. Please bring lunch.

FREE TENNIS
What: FREE "Back to Tennis" tennis coaching for non-member adults.
When: 10am and 5.45pm for 1 hour on all the Wednesdays in October.
Where: Bassett St courts.
Cost: Free.
TAI CHI
What: Tai Chi beginners. Traditional Yang style. Loose clothing and flat shoes.
When: 1-2pm Wednesdays
Where: Studio Liz Covolan, 17 Taupo Quay.
Cost: $10 per student.
COMPASSIONATE FRIENDS
What: The Compassionate Friends Wanganui support group for bereaved parents.
When: First Saturday of each month at 11am.
Where: Yellow House Cafe, Dublin St.

EMBROIDERERS
What: Wanganui Embroiderers' Guild. Weekly meetings of like-minded women in the art of needlework.
When: Monday evenings from 7-9pm and Friday mornings 10am-11.30am. Also bi-monthly meetings on a Sunday.
Where: St Andrew's Church, 42 Glasgow St.

CRAFT CLUB
What: Central Baptist Craft Club. Fun, family, friends and food. Card making, tatting, crochet, knitting, pokerwork, painting and anything else you want to bring. Creche provided.
When: Fridays, 9.30-11.30AM.
Where: Central Baptist Church, 285 Wicksteed St.

EXHIBITION
What: Pakaitore - It Is Not Black & White. Leigh Mitchell-Anyon's 1995 photographic essay.
When: Until March 2016.
Where: Whanganui Regional Museum.
NO LIGHTS, NO LYCRA
What: At the heart of No Lights No Lycra is the belief everyone can dance. It is a global dance community providing an inclusive and non-judgmental place for people to explore this notion, bringing people together to experience freedom of self-expression and joy.
There is no light, no lycra, no teacher, no steps to learn, no technique, just free movement. No Lights No Lycra is a space to dance like no one is watching, promoting health and wellbeing by dancing at your own pace.
When: Every Saturday from 8-9pm.
Where: 17 Taupo Quay, Whanganui, above Renata's Art and Framing.
Cost: $5 entry.
PETRE 60S UP
What: A variety of programmes, outings and day trips.
When: Third Wednesday of each month at 2pm.
Where: St Peter's Church.
