Wanganui Motors wins national awards

Wanganui Motors is powering ahead winning three national awards last Wednesday at the 2016 Mazda dealer awards in Auckland.

The car dealership was presented the outstanding part-sales award as well as the 2016 Mazda performance award for rural dealers. Being titled the top dealer for excellence in customer satisfaction was the ultimate icing on the cake.

Wanganui Motor dealer principal Mark Quirk, who attended the Mazda awards night with sales manager Stewart Payne, said he was shocked and proud all at the same time.

"It's great recognition for Whanganui and great for our staffs efforts to be acknowledged as well," Mr Quirk said.

It is the second year running that Wanganui Motors have received the performance award.

Mr Quirk said last year was the company's biggest year yet for new Mazda's. A total of 126 Mazda vehicles were sold.

"The last couple of years have been strong. New vehicles are very becoming more competitive with the availability of models and colours. The market is crying out for choice," he said.

The titles are judged from surveys Mazda New Zealand conducts with customer feedback.

Wanganui Motors have 40 full-time staff and Mr Quirk said the employees played a massive role in gaining the precious metal.
