Wanganui Riding for the Disabled is celebrating its 40th anniversary tomorrow night with a variety concert.
The fundraising concert starts at 7pm at Purcell St and runs for two hours with a mix of music and other entertainment.
Among the stars are mezzo soprano Hayley Sellars and Kupe Renata fromthe Black Trio.
Hayley Sellars is a past client of Wanganui RDA through a spinal injury. She and her horse still volunteer at Wanganui RDA. The mezzo soprano is studying music at Waikato University and training with Glenese Blake, a former international opera singer.
Kupe Renata is a vocalist and musician who as a member of The Black Trio gained a very popular wildcard entry into New Zealand's Got Talent.
Tickets are $35 and are available from the Opera House, which will be open tonight form 7.30pm to 9,30pm and from 10am to noon on Saturday morning. Tickets can also be bought online at royaloperahouse.co.nz.
Doors open at 6pm at the Purcell St indoor riding arena.
