Police responded to an incident on Alma Rd that resulted in one person taking themselves to hospital and two men being taken into custody. Photo / Bevan Conley

Two men will appear in court on Monday after an incident in Gonville.

Police said the incident occurred on a residential property on Alma Rd about 7.15pm on Saturday and appeared to involve people known to each other.

One person took themselves to Whanganui Hospital after the incident, according to police.

The two men, aged 24 and 25, were taken into custody and are scheduled to appear in Whanganui District Court on Monday.
