"Treating people fairly and with civility is not a bad thing ... It would be good for our country if political leaders actually take that to heart." - Jeb Bush.
Phew, the election is over. I got to a point where I could not watch or listen anymore. My memories of 2011, and the confrontation between some Labour and some National supporters challenged my beliefs and meant that I spent some time sorting myself out. It was years actually, as I worked my way through what had happened, and was completely uninvolved in the 2014 election. This election didn't involve me directly either.
I have become stronger within my own beliefs and my desire to treat as many people as possible, fairly and respectfully.
This year, I could watch from a place well clear from the politics that went on.
As I watched, I was impressed that people were mostly treated fairly. Agreed with or disagreed with, there seemed some respect of each other's point of view. I liked that.
Those who felt their time had come to step back, did so with a measure of dignity.
Another welcome sight for me was the number of woman candidates. I believe that as we empower women as political leaders, we will experience a higher standard of living, along with better developments in education and health. Most of them anyway.
My Angels remind me that along with that higher standard of living, (whether it comes from the voices of men or women) there is still a real need for mystical seeing and action - those mystical powers and influences that many of us struggle to understand.
