Three seriously injured in three-vehicle crash south of Whanganui

St John transported three people in serious conditions to Whanganui Base Hospital.

Three people are seriously injured after a three-vehicle crash at Turakina near Whanganui.

The crash occurred on State Highway 3 at Turakina and was reported to emergency services at about 11am on Monday.

Hato Hone St John said two ambulances were sent to the incident.

Three people in serious condition were taken to Whanganui Hospital.

Police said the road was partially blocked by debris.

Inquiries into the crash are ongoing.
