One lane of the Whanganui City Bridge is closed after a three-car crash this afternoon.

The nose-to-tail crash happened just before 3.30pm in the left-hand lane heading from Anzac Pde to Taupo Quay. No-one was injured.

Police at the scene said a tow truck was needed to remove the vehicles.
