WHAT if I said: "Everyone is already wealthy."

Would you respond: "Go on, Scott -- you're having a laugh."

Or would you say: "Really? What do you mean?"

I'm glad you asked because we all have wealth -- it's just not yet in the form that most people in society dream of, the cash form.

"Yet" is the key word here, because anything is possible.

There are seven ways that wealth can be seen and we often choose to compare ourselves solely to the cash form, thinking: "I don't have enough" or "I wish I had more."

The first step to creating wealth is knowing where it exists already. So what form is your wealth in? When you find this out and accept it as where your wealth is currently, it can create a sense of peace and happiness.

So what form is your wealth in, is it ...

Social wealth: Do you -- like Mayor Annette Main or Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg -- have a large network of friends who help you to achieve goals regularly.

Physical wealth: People admire both inner and outer beauty with the likes of Rachel Hunter or Arianna Huffington (a sleep guru).

Spiritual wealth: These are the things you love, are passionate about and can include religion and people such as with Deepak Chopra, Louise Hay or Denita Tizard (Waireka Road Natural Products).

Knowledge wealth: Do you know something that is significant to many people and they want to know what you know -- and would be willing to pay for it. For example, knowing what Warren Buffett or Michelle Obama know

Work wealth: This can exist in something you do that either only you know or that only you have mastered to such a degree -- think of Eric Dorfman or Richard Branson.

Family wealth: This is about knowing how to be a great parent and having knowledge that is valuable to many others that can make their life easier or better, such as Ian and Mary Grant (the Parenting Place) or Alison Holst.

No matter where your wealth lies, knowing where it is hiding is important because once you know this, you can start asking yourself: "How can I create an income from this knowledge or social network or spirituality etc?"

When you start asking "How can I", you start trying to find the answers and these answers begin appearing in many different and unusual ways. These answers can help our dreams become reality.

All our dreams are attainable when we know where our wealth lies.

I hope this helps to ease some of the pressure that society puts on us by pushing us to think we must "have" a lot to be happy. We don't have to "have" a lot to be happy, but knowing what we love and that we can turn it into cash any time we like is quite refreshing.

If you don't know where your wealth lies, there is a simple process that you can use called Values Determination at www.drdemartini.com
