A man has been charged with possession of methamphetamine for supply, unlawful possession of ammunition and driving while disqualified after police stopped a vehicle in Whanganui.
Police were observing the man’s vehicle about 12.55am today as it travelled on Pitt St to a premises on Dublin St.
While observing thevehicle, the officer identified the driver as disqualified.
The man was spoken to by police and arrested for driving while disqualified.
While taking him into custody, the officer saw several bags, containing a total of 9.6g of what is believed to be methamphetamine in the vehicle, and also saw a shotgun round.
