UCOL Whanganui held a successful open day on February 1 to give the community a first hand experience of the campus in Rutland St.
Campus manager Bronwyn Paul said there has been "a steady stream of enrolments, and high levels of interest" from students who want to enrol in 2018."
Ms Paul said many courses start on Monday February 19, and staff are busy responding to people who still want to enrol.
"It's not too late and I encourage those who need more information about courses or fees free study options to come to campus and talk to the team here who can help".
"There is a lot of information on the UCOL website and the prospectus, but we understand that for students considering study for the first time it helps to speak to someone face-to-face to discover their passion, ask the questions they want and to experience what it will be like to be on campus."
Ms Paul said some prospective students may have been waiting for NCEA results.
"They will now have these, which may have also opened up study options, or pathways into the course they may considering, staff will be available to talk about these options as well."
Enrolments for 2018 are already more than double what they were in 2017 but Ms Paul said the Whanganui campus "absolutely has the capacity" to accommodate more.
Courses starting in February include agriculture, animal care, art and design, automotive, hospitality, education, business, foundation courses, beauty and hairdressing.
There are also free computing courses that students can join at any time. Visit the campus or ucol.ac.nz for more information.
