Four people were injured in a four-car crash near Mangaweka

State Highway 1 near Mangaweka has re-opened following a four-car crash on Sunday afternoon.

Police were called to the scene at about 4.45pm just south of Mangaweka in Rangitikei.

The state highway was blocked to motorists from both directions but re-opened at about 6.15pm with stop/go signals in place.

Early reports from police said four people received moderate injuries.
