Doyle & Associates Accountants have gone clear at the top of the table of the Inspire Net Premier Squash series after victory in the third round at the Wanganui Squash Club on Wednesday night.
Round 3 is the only round of the five, plus the finals night, to be heldoutside of Palmerston North's SquashGym and Doyle, with a local connection through A grade player Rod Bannister, beat MacDougalls 2-1 in their best-of-three matches.
Bannister defeated MacDougall's No1 seed Stephen Bennett, a current Central Districts representative, in straight sets to continue his unbeaten run.
The competition will take a break for a week as many of the players will be contesting the senior nationals in Auckland as part of the Central Districts team.
The next round will be back in Palmerston North on August 27.
