Rose Stokes has realised her dream of opening a landscape supply business.

Rose Stokes has realised her dream of opening a landscape supply business.

A new landscape supplier has joined the growing community of businesses in Castlecliff's Rakau Rd.

Sort It Out Landscape Supplies, run by Rose Stokes, has been open since mid-May. It is located at the same site as Camtract Civil Contracting, operated by Stokes' partner Daren Bendle.

"We had the civil contracting business and we had always talked about one day doing a landscape business as well," Stokes said.

"When Loaders closed their landscape supplies business, we saw an opportunity. We had to move the civil contracting business from where it was so we decided to purchase this land and set up both businesses here."

They stock bulk landscape products including bark, stone, compost and garden mix as well as bagged products, such as ready mix concrete, and weed matting and polythene. Stokes also has a good supply of macrocarpa and gum firewood.

Sort It Out is one of the only stockists of Simply Wrought Iron products which are made in Whanganui.

The business delivers orders or customers can hire a trailer to take home a couple of scoops of the bulk products.

"People are loving us being on this side of town because there's been no landscape supply business here," Stokes said.

"There's been a really positive response from people to us being out this way."
