John Leslie is coming back to Whanganui for another coaching course on Thursday.

Former Otago Highlander's captain and Scottish international John Leslie wil be back in Whanganui to run a coaching seminar this Thursday evening.

Leslie, who played 23 test matches, is running 50 free workshops around the country for parents and others interested in junior coaching.

Commercial cleaning firm CrestClean is sponsoring the tour.

At the workshops, participants will learn the latest techniques and each will be given a lanyard which details of how to download Leslie's new free 39-page Junior Coaching Programme.

The Whanganui session will be combined with a Small Blacks course.

It is being held at Cooks Gardens, starting at 6.30pm on Thursday.

Leslie previously ran courses in Whanganui and Taihape in 2016.

Meanwhile, expat Steelform Wanganui player Te Rangatira Waitokia continues to impress in the undefeated Hurricanes Development XV as he scored another try in their 40-10 win over Chiefs Development at Napier's McLean Park on Friday evening.

In the curtain raiser to the Hurricanes thrilling Super Rugby win over the Sharks, the Development XV played a tight first half, down 10-0, but then scored a point-a-minute in the second stanza.

The winger Waitokia's five-pointer was one of their six tries and makes his personal haul six tries in four games for Hurricane Development.
