Printing.com Whanganui studio manager Andre Taylor accepted the gold award in the stationery category at the Redshift Design Awards.

A simple design proved a winner for Whanganui's Printing.com studio.

The studio won the stationery category of the Redshift Design Awards which are contested by all the printing.com and Nettl design, web and print studios throughout New Zealand.

Studio manager Andre Taylor said they were "stoked" to win the category which had entries from more than 30 studios.

"It's a true testament to the design skills we have here in our studio, but like most projects it's also a team effort.

"So I would like to thank our client, Richard Taurima from Arrow Partners, for trusting us with their design and print and the whole team who saw this project through from initial brief to final print and delivery."

The awards were decided by external independent judges.

"Sometimes design is best when things are simple … a clean and sophisticated design," the judge's comments said.

"A clever use of the space as well as the finishing. It wows because of the finishing - not many clients would go for black on black and I loved how this came out."
