Information wanted: Police are seeking the public's help with information about suspects and a vehicle involved in the robbery of the Z service station last Friday.

Whanganui Police are reviewing CCTV footage of the aggravated robbery of the Z service station in Dublin St on Friday, September 22, and are seeking information about the suspects and a vehicle.

Detective Constable Neville Mullaney said the two suspects were males about 178cm tall. One was wearing a green bush shirt and dark trousers and had a scarf over his face. The other was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt and grey track pants and also had a scarf over his face.

The suspects were dropped off by a vehicle near the Dublin St roundabout. The vehicle then travelled to Niblett St, along Liverpool St and stopped at the corner of Pitt St and Liverpool St.

The males, one armed with a knife, took tobacco and cash from the service station before running along Pitt St toward Liverpool St where they were picked up by the vehicle. Some of the stolen cigarettes were dropped at the intersection.

Police want to hear from anyone who saw two males fitting the description in the area about 8pm on Friday or a vehicle travelling around the Dublin St/Niblett St/Liverpool St block, stopping at the Liverpool St/Pitt St intersection, about that time.
