Police: body in river death not suspicious

Save Police say the death of a person whose body was recovered from the Whanganui River on Tuesday is not being treated as suspicious.
Police have not released any details about the identity of deceased person.
A body was recovered from the Whanganui River about 11.30am on Tuesday, a few hundred
metres upstream from the Aramoho Rowing Club.
A nearby resident said a man walking his dog alerted police after discovering the body about 10.15am.
Police say the death has been referred to the coroner.
