Whanganui band The People wowed the crowd when they debuted as a support act for The Chills at the Royal Wanganui Opera House in May.
With a bunch of new songs and a whole bag of tricksup their sleeves, they are ready to headline at the Lucky Bar on Saturday
night.
Band member Stan Manthyng says the band members are well rehearsed and ready for a great night.
" We are really looking forward to our first gig as headliners and we have a great support act."
The Parties are duo Jack Mitchell-Anyon and Nick Erickson and Manthyng says they will warm up the crowd along with a couple of DJs.
