NZ Herald Headlines | Monday, February 2, 2026. Changes to some prescriptions and medication as the Te Pāti Māori resumes fighting amongst themselves.

Four people have been arrested and charged after an aggravated burglary in New Plymouth.

About 3am on Wednesday, January 28, police were alerted to a burglary in progress at a commercial address on Devon St East.

“Police responded immediately,” said Detective Sergeant Seamus Doyle.

“However, the alleged offenders had already fled the scene in a stolen vehicle.”

Police conducted a scene examination and made initial inquiries, before arresting three youths aged 16-17, and a 22-year-old man.
